In 1957, working for Bower Banner Company Bob was the manager of the Southern California Territory. Robert Augustine started this business out of a garage in Lemon Grove. By 1960 and with a loyal following of San Diego and Imperial County auto dealers, Bob opened the first company office on El Cajon Boulevard. Business continued to grow with Riverside and San Bernardino counties beginning to add dealerships, and Bob was now known for providing great customer service.
In 1977 Bob bought his franchise from Howard Bower. The company name was changed the following year to Bob's Law Printing Inc. The business continued to grow during this time until 1994, when Bob's had outgrown its El Cajon Boulevard site. The business was moved to its present location on Mission Gorge Place in San Diego. In 1995, Bob purchased his former employee's operation that had developed in Sacramento. Bill Hutto, who worked for Bob in the early 60's, owned Bill's Inc., and Bill bought the Bower Franchise in Sacramento in 1977. In 1995 the name was changed again to Bob's Printing, Inc. and, most currently, BPI. Debbie Augustine is now the President and CEO for the company. She is committed to keeping this a family business, and putting the customer first.
